Currently I’m sitting at a desk, inside a nicely furnished office. and I’m getting paid to do…basically nothing. I’m the receptionist at the Student Legal Services Office at UMass Amherst and today, after being here for 3 hours, I’ve only answered the phone twice. It’s actually the perfect opportunity to quietly do my lecture readings, and study for any tests I may have.

Everyday I have about 1 hour in between classes to quickly nap and have lunch. Last Monday I happened into the DC, and after grabbing some food I searched for a place to eat. I decided to sit with a girl who was eating by herself, with the hopes of having a casual conversation over the meal. I don’t actaully know her name, but I know that she’s Vietnamese and her name begins with an ‘S’. Almost everyday since then I’ve bumped into her, and we’ve eaten 3 meals since then….it’s a funny little relationship, but I consider it to be NYINGJE.
